Hello!!
I am Judith Arequion.
First of all I would like to thank
you for visiting my site. Whether you
are a non vegetarian in search of information on vegetarianism and
the vegetarian lifestyle, or you are a vegetarian who simply wants to know more about it, then I am
happy to have you here.
My goal is to make of this site a place of information, education and
especially accessible to all.
First of all - let us speak a little about me and let me explain how I
became a vegetarian.
As you probably read it somewhere else on my site, I am fan of
the vegetarian nutrition and I am always very fascinated to discover
new products, new recipes and all what is about a healthy
diet.
How I became a vegetarian
I am a vegetarian for more than 25 years now and at
that period people wondered what I could indeed eat. I was 16 years old
when I banished meat totally from my diet. But my experience
with vegetarianism started much earlier in my life, thanks to
my
mother who attended regularly vegetarian cooking classes in
Strasbourg, in France where I still live at present. Thus I can say
that vegetarianism has always been part of my life.
At the age of 13, I began by
reading books on the vegetarianism such as Come
Alive from Don Hawley . This book
convinced me
that we were not made in fact to eat meat and that God had
provided us with vegetables for our biggest happiness.
A summer day of my 16, I was
interested in the book Animal
Connection: Cancer and Other Diseases from Animals and Foods of Animal
Origin . The
reading of this book drove me directly to veganism,
because I discovered this time that dairy products were a poison for my
body, because I've been allergic to them for a long time
without knowing it. I thus knew now where from came my eczemas, my
acne, my sinusitis and my asthma. Since it was the summer and as with
the family we had not planned to go on vacation, I took the decision to
make a test. For 2 months, I eliminated all the dairy products from my
diet, the result was just amazing. All my symptoms had disappeared. And
so my new life began. At the age of 20, I had become totally vegan.
My
career
Further to it, I spent one year in Paris to work as a volunteer
in a vegetarian restaurant. And from there I joined a College in the
United States, California to prepare a Bachelor's
degree in Health sciences.
At the same time, I obtained a diploma in Massage Therapy, a job I
exercise with a
lot of passion as a teacher in well-being, in France.
