one ingredient from each category except seasonings. You may wish to
include several seasoning ingredients for added flavor.
Protein,
2 cups
Legumes
of any variety such as kidney
beans, lentils,
garbanzos, white beans, soybeans or tofu

Liquid,
1 1/2 cups or as needed
Tomato juice or sauce
Broth from cooked vegetables
Soy
milk, nut
milk, rice or other grain milk

Carbohydrate,
1 cup
Whole grain bread crumbs
Uncooked oatmeal
Cooked brown rice
Grape nuts
Crushed whole grain cereal flakes
Whole
grain cracker crumbs
Whole
grain croutons

Seasoning,
1/4 teaspoon of one or several dried herbs, as desired
Sage, sweet basil, cumin, oregano,
thyme,
rosemary, italian seasoning, bouquet garni, parsley, chicken-style
seasoning, garlic salt/powder, onion slat/powder, celery salt, savorex,
homemade soy sauce
Special seasoning:
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 crusched garlinc clove
- 2-3 tablespoons choppes pimiento |
Nuts,
1/2 cup chopped or ground, preferably unroasted
Almonds,
cashews, walnuts, sunflower seeds, peanuts, other nuts and
seeds as desired

Binder
3 tablespoons potato flour
2 tablespoons soy flour
1/2 cup cooked cream of wheat
1/2 cup cooked oatmeal
3 tablespoons tapioca
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour |
